NEW DELHI: Three days ago, a 32 years old flight attendant died. According to the reports, it is being said that the lady committed suicide added she jumped from her home terrace in south Delhi. The police are carrying the second autopsy that is being video graphed on the demand of her family, which suspects murder.
Anissia Batra has worked with Lufthansa Airlines.
Her family alleged that she was being tortured both mentally and physically for dowry and the last month they even had filed the complaint against her husband, Mayank Singhvi.
It has been heard that on Friday after Anissia Batra allegedly jumped from the terrace, the police received a phone call from her husband Mayank Singhvi.
Mayank Singhvi told the police that he received a text message from his wife, threatening to kill herself. He rushed to the home but, by the time he reached the terrace, she has already jumped. He took her to the hospital but the doctors declared her dead. He also added that the two were married in the last two years.
On the other side Karan Batra, brother of Ms. Anissia Batra said she sent a series of texts to them before she left them forever.
“My sister messaged us and asked us to call the police. She said Mayank has locked her in a room. ‘Because of him my life is going to, please don’t leave him’ she wrote. We are still clueless that she was being pushed or she jumped by herself?” he proclaimed to the reporters.
Karan Batra also added “Nobody from his family tried to contact us. Her postmortem on Sunday was to be video graphed. When we went to AIIMS, the police in charge said it has been done but the doctors reciprocated us otherwise. The cops are not doing anything.”
According to the report they filed in June, Ms. Batra’ s father RS Batra, a retired Major General, had reported that she was being afflicted by her husband and her in-laws. “If my daughter is physically harmed then her husband and his parents should be held responsible,” RS Batra had written in his complaint.
The police reciprocated defending that the case has been registered and the family members are being questioned.
Her family alleged she had been tortured since the day she got married to Mayank Singhvi in 2016. They added he is an alcoholic and often beat her up and demanded money.
Karan Batra added to his statement that, “last month, my parents had to come from Chandigarh. Mayank even hit my mother. My father, who served in the Army for over four decades, filed a complaint on June 27. We had to rushed back because of my mother’s medical condition.”
He also told the reporters that although the police have sealed the apartment and locked the room still on Saturday night Mayank Singhvi went to the apartment using a spare key and removed all the evidence.
