WHAT IS CHILD INSOMNIA?
Children with insomnia have trouble going to sleep, staying asleep or we can simply
say not well rested after what should be a normal amount of time sleeping.

Insomnia in children can start at any time from infancy through adolescence.

What Causes Insomnia in Children?
There is no one particular cause of insomnia but many more. Let’s have a look at them.
The most common reason that children can’t get enough sleep is that they go to bed too
late.

Texting, video game, mobile game or watching Tv are the contributing factor to insomnia.

tackling Insomnia.

Always keep in mind that kids between the ages of 6 and 12 require around 10 to 11
hours of sleep, and teenagers require around 9 hours of sleep at night.

Steps you can try at Home

1. A regular bedtime and nighttime routine is a must for your child
2. Try to avoid heavy meals before Bedtime.
3. Say No to caffeinated beverages in the hours before bedtime.
4. You can use Relaxation techniques, including a bath before bed. If
your child is still not getting good night sleep, See a doctor.
