Eid Ul-Azha is celebrated as the festival of love, care and emotions.This year the Muslims will offer the Hajji on August 21.
Eid Ul- Azha is generally known as Eid among the population.This year the Zilhaj moon will be sighted on August 12 due to which 1st Zilhaj will be on August 13 and 10th Zilhaj (Eid ul Azha) will be on August 22. This year Edi-Ul-Azha is likely to be celebrated on the same day in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
On this ethical day of Eid ul Azha, the Muslims are on a fast from the very morning and break their fast by looking at the moon, in the evening. Eid is the festival of Muslim communities through which they share the bond of love, care and express their bond of brotherhood by hugging each other. On this day they all give presents to all the members including children to the elders.
Eid is celebrated in the remembrance of the Quranic tale of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS)’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah (SWT) before the Almighty replaced his son with a ram to be sacrificed in place.
Eid ul Azha is a splendid time of pre-holidays especially for the kids, in which they could play with the cows, sheep and goats. Eid ul Azha indicates the end of the Islamic calendar and of the yearly Hajj which is one of the five pillars of Islam and should be performed by every Muslim once in their lifetime if they could afford it.
