John Abraham house – Let’s have a short safari inside the house:
Villa in the sky:-
House named “Villa in the sky” is 4,000-square-foot penthouse located on the 7th and 8th floors of a residential complex in Bandra West. The design team of Abraham John, Alan Abraham, Anca Florescu, and Anahita Shivdasani combined two older apartments into one modern, two-level flat and terrace. To combine the two apartments, all internal walls were stripped down and a new staircase, cantilevered off the interior columns, was added to connect the two floors.
The house has many attractive views. The astonishing views of the Arabian Sea is one of them and every room of the house provides sweeping views of the sea. This also includes floor to ceiling window wherever possible. The design of the penthouse reflects the modern minimalist style of the Mumbai-based architecture firm Abraham John. The open plan concept called for integrating indoor and outdoor spaces, maximising the benefits of the site location and the climate.
John Abraham house – Vastu compliant Penthouse:
The use of hi-tech glass-walled media room on top blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors to expand the home’s sense of space as it serves the gorgeous view of sea as well as a spacious wooden deck with a skylight and a garden terrace.
Natural materials were used for the construction of the Abraham House. As we can witness it through the images of his kitchen area. The kitchen looks glorious with the effects of the wooden dinning table and the sitting area. The kitchen is located in the south-east corner of the home, which not only makes it Vastu Compliant but also makes the apartment bathed into the morning natural light. The kitchen ismade up of stark stainless steel, has an ultra-modern look. Including the living area and the dinning section, the kitchen is the central meeting area of the house which is perfectly suitable for the parties and for the entertainment stuffs.
In 2016, the astonishing house has been awarded with the Best House by the Indian Architecture Design.
